We are asking our friends in the community to be a part of this effort and support the Retired Boston Police Officers Association by sponsoring a tax deductible ad in this year’s “Child Safety Handbook”, which will have important safety information that all parents should be aware of.Īll can agree, if just one child is found safe because of our efforts, this campaign will be a success.
Our membership is volunteering their time and expertise in making this effort a success. Kits, Child Safety Handbooks and T-Shirts, along with entertainment and prizes, for all children and parents who participate.
This year the officers will also be hosting a “Child Safety Day” with numerous youth organizations at various events and will be distributing Child I.D. These kits contain a photo, fingerprints and vital stats all on one simple form that parents can provide to the proper authorities. We will also be distributing Child Information Kits to families throughout Boston to help expedite getting information to law enforcement agencies, media and the Amber Alert System. To date we have printed hundreds of kids of all ages.

The Boston Police Department or the Retired Police Officers Association DO NOT maintain any information about any child who participates and the completed registration forms will be returned to parents. BIO-DOC Identification Cards will be given to the parents to keep in case of an emergency along with other valuable child safety information. This is a program that Children of all ages are fingerprinted and photographed with state of the art digital inkless computers.
